Tree Hike
One day at CLEAN club we learned about trees. We went on a tree hike on campus. We identified the sassafras tree. We learned that the Native Americans used it for medicine. We also identified leaf shapes. There was a mitten shape, a chicken foot shape, and an oval shape. We discovered the sassafras tree in fall 2005. We noticed it because it was one of the first trees to change colors. It was an interesting project for the CLEAN team!
Poinsettia Pens
Recently in C.L.E.A.N. club we made festive Poinsettia pens! They are very hard to lose. It helped us with learning step by step process. The WHOLE clean club thought it was fun! We gave them as a gift to our Moms and Dads.
Symbolic Migration
We made cute paper butterflies. We sent the butterflies all to a childrens museum in Mexico. Some will not make it back. Our club and others around the world sent them to Mexico in October. We will get some back in the summer or the spring. It will be neat to see what returns. It helps us understand more about migration. We enjoyed looking at the Monarch Migration website.

Natures Palette
Not long ago CLEAN CLUB played Natures Palette. You take a paint color chip and match it in nature. It helps people learn about natures colors. It is lot of fun.We did this in the fall.
Birds and Worms
For Birds And Worms we used colored dried pasta for worms and we were the birds. We couldn't find any green worms except for one. It so hard to find green worms because it blended in with the grass so much. The Clean Club worked as a team to do it as if they were a family. It took a long time but , it was fun!!!! We did it at the recess field, Boy that was fun too!!!!!!!
River Walk
During one meeting at Clean Club, we created a River Walk. First, everybody drew their own piece of the river. Next, we connected them together. Then, we took an adventure along the river. We learned how animals lived along the river. We learned how it changed and got polluted along the way. We did this to see what the river
provided.

Tennessee Garden
In the outdoor classroom, there is a TN garden. The reason why it is called
the TN garden is because it is shaped like TN. We planted red, white, and blue
flowers because that is the colors of the TN flag. First we pulled out all the
grass and weeds. Next we removed all the grubs. Then, everybody got to plant
a flower. When we got done it looked great.

Every Tree for Himself
Every tree for himself is a great game because it tis exciting and interesting.
If youre wondering how to play, you try to collect colored chips representing
resources and events, but you can only collect what a tree needs that is as
far as you can reach. It teaches what a tree needs and what it doesnt
need. It is good to do outside.
Clean Club Logos
Before we did anything, we looked at logos that have been used by others to
get ideas. We used paper, pencil, crayons and our imagination. First, we designed
our log. Second, we edited it. Third, we colored it. Finally, we shared ours
with the others. Well be posting examples on our website soon!
Build a Tree
If you want to play Build a Tree, youre going to need a lot of people.
You need a person for the heartwood, some people to go around the trunk, and
some people for the roots and leaves. The leaves need to swoosh their arms.
The roots and root hairs make a slurping sound. Its a fun game. It helps
you remember the tree parts. Make sure the people who are the dont mind
getting their hair dirty, because they need to lay on the ground.
12 Days of Christmas: Clean Club Version
In CLEAN club we made a new version of The Twelve Days of Christmas. It as related
to the environment, because it was things we could recycle and save energy around
